Everything you might want to know about laagan before you ride.
Yes — laagan is completely free, with no subscriptions, hidden fees, or in-app purchases.
Yes. The full source code is public on GitHub under the MIT License — anyone can view
it, learn from it, fork it, or build on it. The only thing reserved is the laagan name
and logo.
laagan is a solo, project-based learning app built by one developer in Davao City, using
React Native on the frontend and a Spring Boot + PostgreSQL backend.
If you lose signal mid-ride, laagan keeps tracking your GPS locally and automatically
syncs everything once you're back online.
Your precise location is only collected while the app is open and active in the
foreground, just to match you with nearby riders. It stops the moment you close or
minimize the app — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
laagan is currently Android-only and in testing on Google Play. As a solo-built project,
there's no committed iOS timeline yet — but it's on the radar.
